Unizar actively networking with projects regarding food technology

10.03.2014 By: UNIZAR

Dr. Rosa Oria from UNIZAR is participating in and has been in touch with a number of projects regarding food technology; these projects deal within the same discipline as the Zero Residues project. Our project will use part of the methodologies developed by UNIZAR’s “Food Plants” group in the frame of our project as soon as the first fruit samples are harvested (in summer 2014). These protocols have been optimized and implemented in previous research projects in collaboration with other companies. The use of these methodologies across different projects with different partners from the public and private sector means that Rosa Oria has developed a wide contact base in the food technology discipline. We are certain that her extensive network will help us in the future when the Zero Residues project takes off further.

Some of the more recent projects (since 2013) sharing methodologies with the Zero Residues project are the following:

  • Improvement of Calanda peach quality: physiopathologies of the Calanda peach. Financed by IAF-FITE (Instituto Aragonés de Fomento – Fondo de Inversiones de Teruel). Project OTRI-Unizar 2014/0047

  • Advice on Monilinia. Project by OTRI (Oficina de Transferencia de Investigación). Ref 2013/0124 and PCTAD (Parque Científico y Tecnológico de Aula Dei).
