Pre-selection works and implementation of post-harvest technologies

Our partners Lafuente and PCTAD worked together in activities related to the implementation of actions B3 “Harvest, Pre-selection, and First Storage" and B4 "Application and optimization of postharvest technologies" activities.

These works were key to obtain results of physic-chemical and sensorial analysis in cherry, nectarine, peach, apricot and flat peach. Also, through the data obtained, it was possible to draw conclusions about the shelf-life for different fruits and the main defects observed in them at the end of their shelf-life. Nutritional analysis was also performed, including total phenols, flavonols and pigments.
