Zerya’s team, led by Javier Arizamendi, atended ‘Fruit Logistica Berlín 2016’, where they distributed informative leaflets and introduced the Zero Residues fruit, which will continue to be produced in the future with the methodology developed during the project..

From the 3rd to the 5th of February Berlin celebrated Fruit Logistica, the International Fair for the Marketing of Fruits and Vegetables.

This fair lends the agribusiness and related sectors a chance to display their wide range of services, from farming to distribution. Fruit Logistica is organised around short, easily-accessed routes that offer maximum efficiency. It features a wide range of exotic produce and offers great opportunities for commercial transactions, attracting a great number of international visitors. The fair is active and dynamic, with a total of 2,785 stalls representing 83 different countries, and hosting nearly 65,000 visitors each year from over 135 different countries.

Zerya took this opportunity to meet with the organisational committee of the StoneFruit Conference which is going to take place in Murcia on the 10th of March.

In this meeting we confirmed the participation of Zero Residues’ parters as guest speakers.

We will participate in several discussions, presenting the latest developments and experiences of the project, particularly regarding:

- Pre-harvest: crop plan management, monitoring and control methods, replication in the stone fruit sector;
- Post-harvest: technologies developed and applied throughout the chain of production;
- Marketing and perception of the client over the production of stone fruit under the methodology Zero Residues.

Soon we will publish the Congress’ final program.

In addition, TOP participated with a stand where they displayed the post-harvest technologies deployed in the project. Below, a photograph of the team.
