Unizar and Zerya attended the "LIFE Waste Platform meeting & Green Week 2014", the biggest European conference on the environment held from the 3rd to the 5th of June in Brussels. The themes of this edition were "Circular Economy, Resource Efficiency & Waste".

Dr. Rosa Oria, Mª Eugenia Venturini, Dr. Eva Campo from Unizar, and Javier Arizmendi representing Zerya, attended various talk and debates and attentively visited different exhibition stands from different Life projects. The project’s partners also had the opportunity to personally meet Pavlos Doikos, coordinator of the Life projects in the the Green Week framework.

Our participation in the Green Week was an excellent opportunity for networking with other national and international Life projects. Here are some of the projects that our partners were able to meet in person:

- GISWASTE, LIFE12 ENV/ES/000406 VALORACT, LIFE11 ENV/ES/639 and ECOLAL (Azti  Tecnalia (Bilbao); Ainztane Esturo)
- SaveCrops LIFE11 ENV/ES/000613 (Centro Tecnológico Agroalimentario de Extremadura (CTAEX); Ascensión Ciruelos)
- WDS LIFE 11/ENV/ES/588 (Centro Tecnológico Leitat (Barcelona); Sandra Balsells)
- Bread4Pla LIFE10 ENV/ES/000479 (Aimplas Centro Tecnológico del Plástico (Valencia); Raquel Giner)
- CERAMGLASS LIFE11 ENV/ES/560 (Instituto de Ciencia de Materiales (CSIC Zaragoza); Xermán Francisco de la Fuente Leis
- MIX FERTILIZER LIFE12 and REVA-WASTE LIFE12 ENV/ES/000727 (Centro Tecnológico Cartif (Valladolid); Raquel López)

The meeting has allowed for the identification of common themes among research groups, companies and technology centers and has established links for future calls.  Similarly, the aforementioned participants have agreed to attend future project dissemination events that may be organized by each project entity. The experience has been so successful that next year the partners will return to Brussels.
